So today was our final full day here at Sandals Resort. It's funny how fast the time went. I can't speak for Trevor and Chelsea but for me this was a real relaxing week. With no phone, texting, etc...I was able to really feel disconnected and had no choice but to enjoy. Now I do feel I need about another 3 weeks of this to fully get rid of all the stress and fully chill out (actually I'm being serious)
We wrapped up the morning show today and had a pile of guests on from the hotel from the singing waiter to the owner of Sandals! Getting up didn't seem to be hard either as with the time change, we didn't need to be on the air till 7am PA time AND the walk down to the main house when it was sunny and +25* sure wasn't hard to do either! Everyday they had a wonderful full breakfast buffet waiting for us and always surprised us with some interesting food. Today was an apple dipped in dark chocolate and drizzled with white chocolate. Very decadent and VERY messy to eat!
We were pampered beyond belief. Now I know maybe your thinking it's because we are the media and they want to leave a good impression. Well we never wore a badge around and were treated fantastically everywhere and by everyone we met! I have nothing but RAVE reviews of every aspect of this place, including all 750 employees that keep it running so smooth. From details like Trevor getting a call to ask how everything was and he said good except there were no cookies in his room (as a joke, but he does love cookies) within a half hour there was a plate full of cookies delivered to his room!
You start to really understand this resorts uniqueness when you start looking at the little details. Things like premium drinks and bars everywhere. Shuttle service running all the time to take you around to the three resorts (this place is HUGE!), smaller Villa Taxi's that will drive you anywhere you want to go in the complex, Food galore and I'm talking real fancy pants, rich folk kinda eatin! Each supper meal we have had could easily have cost around $100 no problem. Last night we went to the Japanese Restaurant and were not only fed beyond belief, but the chef was hilarious and knew his sole purpose at that time was to make us have a good time and deliver the best food he can - he delivered both in spades!
We met a lot of great people from all over the place...Texas Oil rich people to last night, a really nice Nebraskan couple on their honeymoon. Everyone is friendly and I also found, very interested in Canada.
The grounds and hotel overall are kept IMMACULATE. There are people out at 5am with leaf blowers making the streets shine. Always trimming the bushes, painting the lamp poles, washing sidewalks, cleaning bathrooms every 20 minutes, on and on! Our rooms are spotless, heck we walked in on the maid this morning and she was cleaning our shower curtain! That may seem excessive but you really appreciate to effort they put in to make staying here something no one else can deliver. They have posters up at our broadcast tent telling us how they have more of ______ than any other hotel chain in the world, from water sports, to pools, to restaurants, to nightclubs, to family friendly activities etc. I can easily see what.
They also are very conscious of the environment. Sandals has won numerous environmental awards for their efforts to conserve. It is everywhere and they are proud of it. In resorts this big, it can really add up! They take car of the people that work here. Most that I talked to have been here years and love it! One guy (a waiter) this morning summed it up best "I love working here because I love seeing people happy, that makes me happy" They fully train every single person that works here, they send their butlers to a most prestigious butler school in the world in England, and they are offering a university like course to help the people here advance and succeed.
I know this may sound like a commercial for Sandals but it all really is true. Even so I can't express nor say all the numerous things that made our stay here fantastic!
Our winners, Christina and Loran had a blast! They were out and about everyday and when we did see them, they just glowed! What fantastic people and I hope we remain friends forever! I know they have already talked to the hotel about booking another stay here later this year as they were blown away and now want to share their fun with other family members! I have no doubt they will be back here!
This evening we went to the Steakhouse here at the main hotel. Our table was right by poolside and it looked incredible at night!
There was a couple right beside us, who obviously bought the ultra deluxe stay including their own personal butler on call 24/7. We watched as he meticulously laid our rose petals in the shape of a heart facing where the lady would sit. He folded every petal the exact same way. He had a whole different set of table ware and brought the chef out to take the order for their meal. They also got a frosty bottle of Dom ($200 a bottle champagne) This guy was around them anticipating every want before they even asked for it. It was really something to see in action.
I know there are a hundred more things I could touch on, but all I can say is that last year was incredible, but this year, after all these renovations ---- this really is 7 star luxury! If your planning an all inclusive vacation, your now warned that IF you come to Sandals first, you will be VERY disappointed in anywhere else you go!
Off to bed as we have to be packed and our bags at the front desk by 11am, spend a few more hours wondering around, then on the bus to the airport at 4 to catch our plane back to Winnipeg. We don't get into there till after 1am so we have a quick lay over and fly out Sunday arriving back home around 12"30 (just in case anyone wants to come and greet us with banners and roses!)
We were welcomed back again next year and will once again bring some guests with us! I also was able to talk the manager into giving us another trip to give away, so keep listening for details on that real soon, and YOU can come and experience all we have been talking about!

Another day...another 30* and sunshine!
So here we are again, waking up to another sunny day, no wind, no bugs and a high of 30*. We have talked about this so many times how the weather here is so consistently good! Back home, I don't think we ever get mornings like this sadly. It's one of the things we DON'T take for granted!
Just walking down from our Villas to the main house to catch the shuttle bus here to the beach, looks so incredible! I wish we had "smell-o-vision" on these pictures as it's sooooo fresh and has the smell of so many different perfumes! Back home I would have to water my lawn and yard for about 3 strait months to get it to look 1/4 as green and lush! Mind you with the rains they get here, I understand better. In fact the other day, we got a quick but HUGE afternoon downpour for about 30 minutes. I was out in our private pool when the heavens opened and getting out of the pool, the rain was actually warm! Strangest thing ever! I stood out in the downpour for the whole time and thoroughly enjoyed it. Simple things in life! There was no wind, no lightning, just a massive downpour of warm rain!
After the show was over we all headed back, changed into swim shorts and headed to the pool. It was blistering hot today (sorry to rub it in, but it was!) Trevor and Tamara sat on there deck, read and tanned. Joan and Garth grabbed a quick snack and then headed to the main pool to meet up with Chelsea and the Sheriff. There we tanned and hung out basically. It was great as they have little stools and tables IN the pool so you can sit and have some icy refreshments and stay somewhat cool. The SPF 60 was working over time today!! I haven't seen the sheriff since this afternoon, but the last time I saw him he was sleeping on one of those air mattresses floating around in the pool - that can't be good!
Yes there is a water slide that goes right through the bar and my wife Joan stripped down in two seconds and was on the slide! After dropping $100US for two burgers a salad and a po boy shrimp sandwich with 4 drinks, we were on our way home. We sat on the deck and watched the saddest sight the residents of Ocho Rios have to deal with every week....

Early in our broadcast, we had three guys all dressed up drop by and start cranking out some cool sounds! One guy looked just like Morgan Freeman but didn't quite have the voice. Still pretty good singers. Everyone here seems so happy and I don't think we have seen or met anyone at this resort who works here, who Isn't happy! Very refreshing!

Garth & Trevor met around 2 to head into Ocho Rios now that the cruise ships are starting top re board and the town calms down from it's frenzy! We took a cab in which cost us $8 each there and back, plus the guy waited three hours for us! We were talking to him on the way about life in general living in Jamaica. He said the average wage is around $70.00 a week! He couldn't believe that someone making minimum wage in Canada, working and 8 hour day would make that much....in ONE DAY! Now we explained our cost of living is much higher, but you can see the struggles here. Needless to say we tipped the guy quite well, and also because he was really nice.
In town Trevor and I were constantly asked if we wanted to buy some Bob Marley CD's (don't think they were legal copies) and also asked if we wanted some of the sweetest, smoothest weed in Jamaica. Although illegal, it's EVERYWHERE! It's a bit of a madhouse on the streets. For one they drive on the left side of the road, which confuses the heck out of me, and then they seem to just drive where ever they need to. People all over the roads, horns honking, goats eating grass feet away from the road, cars parked half on the sidewalk half on the road...yikes!
We also tried to do some shopping but the merchants were still in Cruise Ship Madness mode and were quite aggressive. We had one lady follow us all around this outdoor mall and then where she saw we were leaving hit us up for money to help her and her 7 kids. You have to take this with a grain of salt and not get guilt ed as that's what they prey upon - sadly. The one thing that was really annoying, and it happens all over the place is when they stop speaking English and start talking PATOIS. It's hard to describe but it is a hybrid English/Creole/West African talk that's spoken rather fast. If anyone had parents or grandparents that came from Europe or another foreign country and still spoke that language and you never did...they would start talking to you in English, then turn away and talk "Ukrainian" to others while looking at you!
We did stop into a store because I was laughing that it's a "haberdashery" and we all wondered what that was, but it sure sounded funny. As we found out it was a junk 25cent store selling everything you don't need or ever will.
Afterwards we sought out Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville for some, what else beer and some burgers! (and you thought I was gonna say Margaritas didn't you!)
The cruise ships leaving, along with all their money! Oh well two more come to port Friday. By the way, I have never had the chance to watch a cruise ship actually depart, and for the size of these monsters, they can turn on a dime and are actually quite fast. From the time it was untied and hoisted anchor, withing 5 minutes it was turned around and about 10 more minutes we couldn't see it anymore!
So now we are back at the villas each getting ready to hit up one of the gourmet restaurants here. Joan and I were luck enough to snag dinner at a Japanese place that cooks your food in a giant grill in front of you! Apparently that one is super hard to get into and one of the few that requires reservations. Not sure about Trevor nor Chelsea but for some strange reason you tend to bump into people despite how big this place is. Where Christine and Loran went to, who knows with those two! Man are they having a ball. All I do know in talking with them last night is they were off to go horseback riding this morning along the beaches!
Can't believe how time has flown past us..cannot believe tomorrow is our final broadcast day before hoping on the plane late Saturday afternoon heading North again. Saturdays forecast in Jamaica - Sunny and +30..outlook for PA Saturday...well you know!

Jan 10th - Crazy sunshine!!
The day got off to another great start! Sure is nice waking up at 5am and being able to throw on some shorts, t-shirt that you've worn 3 times already this week, and your flip flops, head outside and it's already 25*, no wind nor bugs! We may not come back. In fact we are thinking of turning each other in to the police for some bizarre charges, just so we can stay here!
So this morning we are doing the radio thing as normal...sitting in our broadcast tent, down by the beach, sunny & hot, buffet just steps away, Sandals staff bringing us chilled water, looking over the crisp freshly groomed beach into the blue waters of the Caribbean and watching cruise ships come to port! Now when you see them, they don't appear to be big, nor far away because there is no reference point. Then you zoom in on the camera and start counting the decks and realise these things are like 20 stories tall or more!!
Ooooo, also this morning a dream came true as the grounds people were cleaning up and had a big barrel of coconuts. Now my goal was to have a drink from a coconut before we head home and this was my chance. The guy grabs a machete and starts whacking away at it, millimeters from his fingers. Anyway, happy ending we all got our fresh coconut!
Ocho Rios, which is only 2k down the road, was the site of the final stand for the British to boot out the Spanish after Columbus hit these shores in 1494. Normally this quaint little town is around 8,000. When the cruise ships come in, over 12,000 people walk the plank and descend upon the eager locals selling their wares! I bet you know what I'm talking about here, but have you ever bought anything on vacation thinking it was fantastic, gotta have that, boy wont that look great! Then you get home unpack, take that thing out look at it and go "what the heck did we buy that for?"
Jamaica isn't all that big really. Only 235 miles long and only 80 miles across. Now keep in mind much of that is extremely dense jungle and how one would navigate through that is any one's guess! It has a long and sorted history as well as being one of the main pirate hang-outs. Seemed back then, the Spaniards and even the English often turned a blind eye to buying stole good, only if they were stolen from someone else! Names that have visited here you may have heard of include Christopher Columbus
Captain Morgan
(Ya the guy on TV commercials selling rum by putting one leg in the air)
Fletcher Christian and his Famous/infamous Captain Bligh. Ya that's the guy from the Mutiny on the Bounty.
Now movies have taken great licence in this matter. He was not even a captain at the time, just a lieutenant and once of few officers even on the ship. Records show he was not a tyrant, but rather lenient and caring for the men.
Fletcher Christian led the mutiny and returned to Tahiti, where by all accounts he was murdered by bandits. His descendants still live there today. Captain Blight died highly decorated in London and is buried there and survived by direct descendants to this day!
History lesson over! It is fascinating though.
Last night we went to the new amphitheatre and took in a fabulous Reggae show with Peter Lloyd, a respected artist here in Jamaica. His whole show was the entire history of what we now know of as Reggae. As he explained, he would sing songs from that era and believe it or not, I bet you would know everyone of them!

He wrapped up the show explaining his early life in gangs and selling drugs and winding up in prison because his father would not tell the police he knew him (because he was so disappointed in his son and wanted him to know what his life will be like if he keeps on the path) He pays tribute to his family, and mother in particular by singing, what most here agree is thee greatest reggae song ever recorded - Bob Marley's No Woman No Cry. He did and incredibly moving rendition!!
We managed to see our winners, Christine and Loran for a brief period as they were on there way Zip Lining and tubing down a river! They said that tomorrow they are horseback riding along the ocean! We even managed to track them down this evening to come have dinner with us at one of the fine Italian Restaurants here at Sandals! Here we found out Loran's real name is Patrick but you can also spell it Lorne... and Christine's is really Christina! MMM secrets!!! It was after a fine meal that the desert menu came and low and behold, there were canolli's on tap. Now I watch Cake Boss and they always talk about them so Trevor, Loran, the Sheriff and I all decided to try one - Fabulous!!!
We talked about what fun we've been having like me having to go to the front desk and tell them to come to our room since we have a very squeaky bed...or when Trevor went to the spa, came out to shower off all that oil, stood up and almost pierced his skull with a coat hook...or was it Chelsea heading off to the broadcast site this morning and slipping down several stairs. Ahhh the good times!
Most of us today just sat around the pool or on the dock tanning and just chillin. We all seemed to need a bit of an afternoon nap as well and no doubt will need one tomorrow as well.
After dinner we made the mistake of turning the direction of the bar as we heard music playing. Oh god, karaoke! Should have known better. By the time we got inside, wouldn't you know it we hear over the speakers "please welcome the Sheriff to the stage" and sure enough Alan hops up grabs the mike and start to sing, perhaps the hardest song to sing karaoke LA Woman by the Doors. Despite the fact he had a few too many fruity cocktails at supper, I have to say he was pretty smoking on stage and got a rousing applause!
We all stayed till they booted us out and headed back to our Villas by bus, where we all hit the sack hoping to get a good 5 hours sleep before our next broadcast tomorrow - or should I say today! This work thing is hell

What a LAZZZZZYYYYY Day
So I apologise for being so tardy with updating this. I tried last night but the Internet wasn't working all that well and actually deleted it all right before I hit "post" Just a littler mad, but as they say here in Jamaica to No end - NO PROBLEM!
I was telling everyone my master piece I composed, how it would rival the great literature's throughout time...War & Peace...The Catcher in the Rye....Harley Davidson's 100 years and so forth. Just thinking about it now makes me feel like I have reached my written pinnacle, you know the feeling Sir Edmond Hillary had upon reaching the summit of Mount Everest. A Love hate thing...happy you finally made it, reached that goal, but yet sad and let down that "now what?"
So let me try to recapture that lost glory the best I can:
Yesterday after the show we did the usual, go get changed, go eat, grab a drink and head to the pool. The weather hasn't been all sunshine, but more so than not. With or without it still is really hot and with nearly 100% humidity, you always stink (except Chelsea, Joan and Tamara)
We kicked around a few hours then had to meet up at the dock for a Party Cruise for just the radio weirdo's. It was a giant Catamaran and it had not trouble at all fitting over 60 of us on board. In fact there was plenty of room to spare! Now I'm not too macho to admit I was not feeling totally psyched about going on this as I'm a true land lubber to the core. I don't eat things that come from the water and I don't really like being on open water. I put on my big boy pants and stepped on board, sticking near the edge and scouting out the best places to hurl. Anchors away they yelled! Well not really but it's more dramatic... anyway the ship set sail with the lot of us from this Jamaican isle...with Jamaican guy, the skipper too, the radio guy and his wife, didn't see a movie star, the bartender man and the Sheriff man, here on Sandals Cruise!
The seas were rough this day, angry like an old man sending soup back to the kitchen angry! I was not feeling too bad despite this and once we hit open water, the swells got really big. It's hard to say for sure but I would have to say at least 10-15 feet as this boat was a rocking! There were a few people who grabbed the glad bag and made it to the curb on time. Everyone avoided them like they were lepers tough as most people see/smell puke - do puke! The scenery was really great from this vantage point thought!
With the waves getting pretty big, they headed off closer to shore where calmer waters prevailed. We sailed past where Dunn's River Falls empties itself into the Caribbean going from fresh to unusable salt water in seconds. Now let me digress for a minute. Dunn's River Falls - one of Jamaica's most prized and beautiful attractions and rightfully so. Here is my issue - pay your $10 admission, walk to the beach and start climbing a waterfall full of rushing (and at time VERY forcefully rushing water!), climbing slimy slippery rocks, walking through rock crevices that could snap an ankle like a twig with the wrong movement, NO lifeguards, NO instructions given, NO one watching from the side, NO life vests, NO NOTHING! Can you imagine the waivers you would have to sign in Canada to do this!!First off you wouldn't be allowed to and secondly you would be totally wrapped in life vests, strapped to a metal cable and have you foot gently dipped into the water...that's right after you did 5 hours of legal papers and signed waivers galore! So If you have never been there in person, here is one picture to help you understand these are not quite gentle flowing cascades of water trickling across the landscape, but raging waters blasting down the steep precipice of rocks!
The same is for other tours we took like the Jungle Quad...here's a quad why don't you hop on and follow us through the jungle at break neck speeds. After about 30 minutes someone finally asks "Is there anyone who has never driven a quad before?" Then we go cliff diving! Oh that's right..stand on the edge of a cliff some 25 feet in the air and jump into the ocean...not in a calm secluded picture perfect bay, but on the shore of open water with waves crashing down around you, pounding into the shore then dragging all out to sea! Off you go, jump!! The only thing told was to try to jump away from the cliff as far as you can because there are rocks below! No one asked if we can swim, no life jackets around, no Lifeguard on duty...just jump off a cliff into the ocean!
No I'm not complaining since I gladly and willingly did both with GREAT satisfaction and would totally recommend to anyone to do these...I just think about wacky stuff like how we could never do these things in North America, because apparently people don't have common sense and personal responsibility to think and do for themselves what they know they can and what is right. Maybe Jamaica has it all figured out?? No Problem Man!
Once we finally reached land after a thoroughly enjoyable cruise for 99.5% of those on board (There was one lady who was SOOOOO
LOL All I know is they have booked virtually every possible excursion you can!!
After our cruise they hosted a beach party for about 700 people. The whole beach was transformed into this incredible dining experience! Lights strung everywhere, beaches groomed like a golf course green, tables with linen and wine on every table. Oh, the food - INSANE! I have no idea how they can get that much food ready for so many people at exactly the right time, outdoors on a beach. Amazing! The food was beyond top notch with roast pig, carved beef, crab legs, lobster, 5,000 different desserts, and about 100 more things!
Now you know when someone says they had a shrimp boat where they ate...well here they really do have a shrimp boat - three of them to be exact and they really are real boats FULL!!!

Seemed everyone was pretty pooped after a long day. The sun really beats away at you and I think by 11:30 we were all back in our rooms like a bunch of seniors after three games of bingo.
It's been a really incredible experience so far. So many areas to see since this resort is massive (Google earth it!!) There are several fine dining rooms here as well that require fancy clothes and reservations. People told us when we got here to go book times as it fills up fast - we didn't now most of them are booked. We did get into a couple here and there and are all trying to go out tonight to a place called the China Doll that is a Ukrainian/Bulgarian joint (no just kidding, it's Chinese food)
Trevor and Tamara as well as Chelsea and the Sheriff went off for couples massages today so help ease the pain of having to wake up, get shuttled to the beach, have a fresh buffet waiting for you, and broadcast three gruelling hours of radio feet away from the ocean...you can clearly see why these days here at Sandals Beach Club are so hard to deal with!

Monday Jan 8 - Chelsea----the day after!
Well last night was certainly a fun night for all, especially our little Chelsea. For the most part we all laid around the various pools and the sea side chillin, catching some rays and enjoying one of the numerous frosty ``specials``
I`m not sure why they call them specials as there are so many of them. I`m sure we are all gonna have to pay extra for carry on as we will no doubt gain and extra 20lbs after this trip. It`s like how they line up all those games of chance on the midway, your funnelled through them..that`s how the restaurants are here at Sandals - They are everywhere! There is no way you could come home after this trip and say you never had enough food or drink...impossible!
So far we really have only had the great buffet in the main mansion part and sampled various delicacies from several smaller informal cafe`s. There are no big pots of gruel laying around they slop on your plate when you order something, it`s all made fresh and just as you order it. We do want to get all dolled up and hit several of the fancy pants restaurants on site before the week is out.
The place is also incredibly friendly, everywhere you go...everyone you meet. It`s weird actually, having such great service consistently. Considering there are nearly 800 staff at this resort, that`s pretty amazing!
So last night - I`ve been wondering ow and what I can write about this. We went to a real fancy welcome for all the radio people and our guests. It was at a new amphitheatre they built as part of the 60 million dollar renovations. Everything was gourmet, and all of us being down home folk, it was strange to feel so rich! Trouble with these kinds of buffets, you tend to throw a little of everything on your plate.
Garth was talking smack about trying lobster for the first time and actually did! Well OK, ONE bite. He didn`t much care for it, but it was quickly snapped up by is wife Joan...her good fortune! There was a quick formal part of the owners of Sandals welcoming us all and inviting us to have a great time and thanks for coming down. I reminded them what a big sacrifice this was for us and how they better appreciate this!!
After the meal, we all loosened the top string of our mankinis and bikini`s`and enjoyed a `special`on a deck overlooking the ocean. We have all said this repeatedly - ìsn`t it great to sit outside when it`s 25* at night, stars shining overhead, NO wind and NO mosquito`s or black flies! I never get tired of that.
Then everyone proceeded to the new amphitheatre to watch a version of the old dating game. When they asked for couple to come up, guess who were the first to raise their hands. Go ahead guess......Yup Chelsea and the Sheriff. Right after than though, Christine started yelling to pick her, so she and hubby Loran were up on the stage too!
There were a couple of newlyweds who were obviously close friends, from Chattanooga, another couple from Virginia who were so funny...he was sooooo whipped it wasn`t even funny. She kept throwing her shoe at him. Then another pair of gals from somewhere on the east coast and of course our two lovely couples.
They kept asking them questions and having the other spouse guess what they said. I have video but no video editing software and just take my word for it, I would have to delete a lot of footage! Kinda like the US Government censoring anything to do about area 51, that does`nt exist!
One question was asking the guys `` if you could hypnotize your spouse to do ANYTHING you want for one whole day, what would that be` Now I know your mind is already deep in the gutter, and it was for all but two couples...can you guess...that's right, Chelsea and Christine. So when asked, the Sheriff says he would have Chelsea do ironing! yes, take the clothes out of the dryer and iron them! Meanwhile Loran said he would have Christine come and work with him at his sawmill! What is wrong with these guys! I cant and wont be able to repeat what the others said.
The video of Chelsea and Christine's answers and reactions when they found out what Sheriff and Loran said were priceless (and shall remain on my hard drive to hold over both their heads!)
Without a doubt, those two were the life of the party and made that show fantastic! Getting up at 5:00am the next day was NOT fun for our gals thought! Play the game, pay the price ladies!
The first days broadcast was great! We were in a giant tent set up on the beach and broadcast from there, A living hell for sure. Being radio professionals we somehow pushed our way through the agony. Once that was done, off to the big house for a deluxe breakfast, change then off to poolside. Its sunny today and with a high of 30*, its like someone is holding a hairdryer on you! Wow that sun is intense this close to the equator.
Later this afternoon, we are all hopping on a giant catamaran and heading off for a sunset cruise and dance. Should be fun if the seas are calm and not angry like an old man trying to send back soup to the kitchen. I honestly would have pictures up here but they are all incriminating and we all have friends and family reading this who still think we are sweet and innocent.
Hopefully some good pictures will come from this afternoon and I will update this, so come back again, y'all hear!

YA WE MADE IT!!!!!!!
We're here!!!! It was a surprisingly quick day getting here. Normally it seems like forever getting to your vacation spot, but the flight from Saskatoon to Winnipeg went really fast (It is, only 1:15) The worst part is, your in Winnipeg!!! Although we didn't lose the Sheriff, Chelsea...well she was quite thirsty. We pretended not to know her as security dragged her away. I think Trevor whispered something to one of the security guards about "that girl" telling him she was transporting illegal things in hidden places.
Upon arriving at the resort we DIDN'T think we were at (way too swanky for a bunch of radio monkeys) we all kept our mouths shut thinking this was a mistake and don't blow it! No mistake, they put us up at THEE swankiest (is that a word?) part of the entire complex! Christina and Loran were put up at the mansion estate main building while Me, Chelsea and Trevor were driven to our own private villas...yup with our own pools, and unbelievable rooms!!
We all walked around a bit and grabbed a bite to eat as we were kinda hungry, yet not really. We even convinced Trevor to down a Pepsi, which he hasn't done in years! (FYI - he used to be addicted BIGTIME to that stuff, then swore it off for the much better Red Bull)
So after a 3 hour layover, we were on the plane and in the air for our 5 hour flight! Once again these can be tedious but we all felt the flight went pretty quick all things considered. Always enjoy the $35 chicken wrap on the plane (oh and you have to pay with VISA!!!)
Trevor was causing a disturbance so he was seated at the back of the plane right next to the constantly used toilets! One thing about those I have to mention---I WANT ONE AT HOME!!! Only guys can appreciate what I'm talking about. I don't care what you put in that thing...you push a button and within a second WHOOSH gone! I'd love to see what things it could take...pot roast...whole chicken....dozen golf balls.....maybe even a pillow! Ah just dreaming about that makes a guy happy!
Pictures really don't do this justice, but I managed to take some pretty amazing pictures out the windows. They are over the wing (Duh) around sunset and the others are just at the start of night with the moon coming out. Note the one pic with the moon shining on the wing with a city in Florida below it!
It has to be a guy thing again, or maybe it's just me and my friend OCD, but do you ever scour the wings every rivet looking for a possible crack, a flaw, something that you can scream "Oh my god we're all gonna die"...just me???
I was able to pass the time by watching one of those in flight movies..Ben Hur. Now if you've never seen this classic, first up, Massala died in the chariot race...Juda Ben Hur's mom and sister get cured of leprosy and he finally gets that the guy who saved his life was Jesus....Oh I guess I should have put spoiler alert first. Oh well. 3:30 later it wrapped up right when we were touching down! Customs went super quick. Trevor seemed to really enjoy the full cavity search, then we all met up at the Sandals Lounge. You can also see our winners Christina and Loran getting ready to be amazed

Now the Sheriff and Chelsea think I took this picture on purpose, but I swear it was coincidence!!! *Note the sign above the Sheriff*
Seemed everyone faded quickly afterwards and off to our private villas we all went for a good nights sleep on these massive four poster beds. Chelsea found these particularly good! (No not for that reason...so she could tie a rope to his leg to keep him from wandering away!)
Thus ends our first night at Sandals Jamaica!!!
